Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and the way you love and care for yourself; do that to and for others looking out for their concerns.

Pray, bring your thoughts and concerns to God. Calm your anxiety as you fill you mind with God’s written word, its good to learn about God’s voice and tune in to hear from the Lord yourself. One way we check if we are hearing is by reflecting back on the word and if its confirmed by community. Having other believers in your life can help ground you and direct you to grow in your faith. That is why home fellowships are very important to growing in the Lord. It is good to have a practice of reading scripture, but fellowship is a part of the Christian life and we are called not to neglect gathering. Beyond this if we have given our life to the Lord, then we are His to spend as He wills. A life of service is a life reflecting the sacrificial example of Jesus, not about grasping to rights and privilege, but pouring oneself out for others. If this is happening out of a life giving connection to our Lord then you will produce spiritual fruits (evidence) that your life is hid in Christ and it is His work happening in and through you. Even hard situations are bearable because He said His burdens are light and His yoke is easy. What that means is; you don’t have to strive to live up to standards to be accepted. God has accepted you because of Jesus and the Life God gives you now is a gift. We do not need to strive, we need to hunger and thirst for righteousness. Or simply put hunger and thirst for God Himself. When we are in right standing with God we get cleaned up in the process. The lights get turned on inside and then we can see our short comings, but where we did not have a way before to deal with them, we are now empowered and able to see the next step. A journey of faith is taken step by step and we can rest that God’s Word is a light unto our feet and a lamp unto our path. God oh guide me today to take the steps I need to towards you and your will for me, Amen.
